Drum and Percussion Workshops
Tararam’s diverse drum and percussion workshops have been successfully integrated into numerous events throughout
the country. The workshops come in a variety of styles and are tailored to each individual client’s needs:
-
African Style Phonetic Drumming Workshop
A fun and energetic workshop suitable for all ages.
The workshop uses speech phonetics as a methodical instrument for learning drumming beats.
The aspiring drummer learns the language of drumming through the language he already knows, making
an easy entry into the world of rhythm.

Drumming on junk Workshop
An innovative and entertaining workshop suitable for all ages.
The workshop encourages audience participation as spectators learn to drum with sticks on aluminum barrels,
drums (bass drum and floor toms), percussion instruments (a wide and colorful collection of African, South
American and Middle Eastern percussion instruments), shakers and other “industrial junk”.
The workshop opens with a talented and uninhibited presentation by the tararam group members, after
which the audience is invited to join the drumming, creating an exhilarating, energetic drumming celebration.
The participants of all workshops learn basic rhythms in various styles, beginning with the excitement and
freedom of random drumming and slowly developing into a methodical and powerful group creation.
The ultimate cooperation and communication between the participants naturally lead to harmonious and
sophisticated playing, where each of the participants reaches his inner rhythm through the
professional guidance of the trained facilitators.
